Our Citrix installation consists of about 150 servers. These servers are accessed by some 2,500 thin clients... ...the FTP-service was running, but it was still not possible to login to the FTP-server. Simple Failover detected this failure and updated the DNS-record on the DNS servers. Spanish Access Providers use to have much outages and often leave their customers without service during long periods (typically from hours to several days) Based on this, when you work with always-on services and servers for your customers, you need an always-on service also from your providers, and this is exactly what we needed Simple Failover to reach. Having several accesses, we needed to modify DNS in order for the customers to be directed to one or other access depending on the one that fails... Although Simple Failover is not exactly designed to failover accesses but mainly servers, the product could help us. It seems to us it has been very well thought and developed.
