This tutorial will demonstrate what happen after you have set up Simple Failover and the initial update of the TTL value in the DNS A-record has been performed by Simple Failover.

We are also going to show you the changes and updates in the Simple DNS Plus database, and what the normal visitor of your Web service is experiencing before and after the actions performed by Simple Failover.

The setup

Before any failure at the primary HTTP server, when everything run as designed.

The HTTP service running at the primary HTTP server fails. The tutorial describes what happens when Simple Failover performs the failure detection and handling, and how the web server users are redirected automatically.
