Before you install Simple Failover, there are a number of preparations to take to ensure optimal operation of the program.
For a new installation, the following should be done:
| · | Collect information about your DNS server, the web services you want to monitor and the information about the system you want Simple Failover to redirect DNS requests to.

| · | Set up security on you DNS systems if applicable

Use the following instructions to install Simple Failover to your computer.
Run the installation program by double-clicking on the sfo-setup.exe file from the directory where you saved the downloaded file.

Click Next in the Simple Failover Splash Screen.
Continue after you have read the Welcome Screen by clicking the Next > button. Otherwise click the Cancel button.
If you want to change the default path which is set to C:\Program Files\Simple Failover, then click the Change... button and browse to a path of your own choice. Otherwise you should click the Next > button to continue.
Read the License agreement and select the radio button I accept the terms in the license agreement and click the Next > button.
The installation program continues with the setup.
Click the Finish button to end the installation process. Simple Failover is now installed.
The installation folder now contains all the files related to Simple Failover that is needed to run for the first time.

Once the installation is complete, further configuration is required. Start Simple Failover by double-clicking the SFO.EXE file from the directory where you installed Simple Failover, e.g. C:\Program Files\Simple Failover.

After the configurations of Simple Failover performed in the previous step, the installation folder now contains to extra files:
